What actually affects a moving quote?
We do not publish a misleading “from £X” price that ignores labour, access and the journey. The written quotation should make the agreed scope clear.
The volume and size of the load
A list of boxes alone will not tell the whole story. Bulky sofas, white goods, bed frames, gym equipment and fragile pieces may affect vehicle space, handling and protection requirements.
The crew and the route
Whether one or more people are needed depends on the items, their weight, the number of loading points, and the access route. Distance between postcodes also affects journey time.
Loading, waiting and access
Long carry distances, no lift, restricted loading bays, late keys or a long wait at delivery can all change the duration. We would rather ask now than discover it when the van arrives.
Minimum booking and optional work
Minimum booking times may apply. Please check your written quotation for the agreed duration or fixed scope, waiting/overtime treatment, packing, dismantling and additional drops. Do not assume these are included unless confirmed.
