THE DETAILS
Flat moves are all about the route
Two similar-sized flats can need very different moving plans. Here is what helps us price yours properly.
Floors, stairs and lifts
Tell us which floor each property is on, whether there is a working lift, and if the lift can be used for furniture. Some buildings ask residents to book lift time slots or protect communal areas; ask your managing agent early.
Getting a van close enough
City-centre and courtyard blocks may have service entrances, short loading windows or parking restrictions. Tell us where a van can legally load, the approximate carry distance and whether there are steps before the building entrance.
Furniture fit and shared areas
Measure wide sofas, bed frames and wardrobes against narrow doorways and turns in the stairs. Let us know about noise or access rules for the building, and keep communal passages clear for neighbours.
Moving out and getting keys
If your old tenancy ends before your new keys are available, explain the gap. We can discuss a practical loading and delivery plan once those timings are clearer.
